“Where do you want to go for dinner?” is a question two people can bounce between them all evening. feedme is an app to end that: ask it something like somewhere new near Parramatta, casual, good on a weeknight, not Italian, and it comes back with a short list of places neither of you has been, weighted by what you’ve both actually enjoyed.
Where it’s up to
- The discovery loop works. Gemini with Google Maps grounding finds real, current places. Each result is matched to a Google place so the ones you’ve already visited can be subtracted.
- Your history, not other people’s. Taste comes from your own Google saved lists, reviews and visits, for both of you. Other food apps rank by what friends like.
- Now: an installable mobile web app. The next step is capturing places straight from the phone’s share menu, like a restaurant someone posts about, and logging what you ate.
It’s private and in development, so there’s no public link.
